Now that the election and recount are finished, I would like to thank the people of Nelson County for my re-election as sheriff.

We need a treasurer for Nelson County who is experienced, knowledgeable and devoted to the taxpayers.
Many of you knew and will recall my late husband, Marvin Davis. He was entrusted by the residents of Nelson County with the privilege of serving as county treasurer from 1972 to 1998. During his tenure, back in 1993, he hired a young lady named Angela Fortune Johnson as deputy treasurer.
In this economically challenging period we would like to highlight some of the benefits of being a member of the Jefferson Madison Regional Library system.
We at the Piney River Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone who helped make our May 1 fundraiser a success.
