Lack of quorum cancels Nov. 18 planners’ meeting

The scheduled Nov. 18 meeting of the Nelson County Planning Commission was canceled because of a lack of a quorum.

Of the six appointed commission members, only commissioners Linda Russell, Emily Hunt and Philippa Proulx, the chairwoman, were present.

Commissioners Mike Tapager and Michael Harman were unable to attend due to personal reasons.

The commission’s Board of Supervisors liaison, Thomas Bruguiere, was absent. He did not return a phone message.

The agenda items will be moved to the commission’s next meeting on Dec. 16.

The public hearing items from the Nov. 18 meeting that will include a final subdivision plat request for Rollan and Mildred Colella to divide more than six acres into two lots of 4.2 acres and 2.16 acres; a site plan for a carry-out pizzeria in Gladstone requested by Paul Cangialosi; and a proposed zoning amendment to update procedures for electrical hookups for certain types of homes.
