A holiday success

The annual Nelson County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade was held Dec. 6. We were privileged to have B.J. Cabbell, Nelson County native and University of Virginia Cavalier, serve as the grand marshal.

We want to recognize the contributions of the following businesses and individuals without whom the parade would not be possible: BB&T Bank, Bell’s Septic, Blossoms Florist, Virginia Farm Bureau, Lovingston Hardware, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Tiger Fuel, Union Bank, Carroll “Bubba” Harvey, Randy Hite, John and Rhonda Holland, Elaine Hooker, Jim Jones, Monk Mays, Bernie and Kate McGinnis, Connie Miller, Larry Moyer, Ronnie Moyer, Daniel Rutherford, Mike Taylor, Audrey Wimer and Jim Wood.

Thanks to the vendors who continue to support this event. As always, the food and drinks were delicious and greatly appreciated.

To the parade participants: Your enthusiasm, creativity and community pride were abundant and you made us proud.

Thank you.
