A local asset
In the midst of economic, political and environmental turmoil, there is one ray of sunshine available to Nelson County citizens: our local library.
Did you know the library is not only a place to check out books or attend free educational and entertaining children’s programming this summer? It also offers a diversity of resources available to everyone — parents and children, old and young, rich and poor. The library provides free access to many online resources for families and businesses that help support entrepreneurship and job retraining. The library helps teach people how to use the Internet and find information quickly. The library offers DVDs to check out, information about local events and organizations, even the means to learn a new language.
This summer, let’s escape the heat and visit the Nelson Memorial Library to take advantage of all it has to offer.
