For Perriello
You did the readers of the Nelson County Times a great favor when you placed the articles written by Sen. Robert Hurt and incumbent Rep. Tom Perriello side by side. It gave readers an insight into the two in making a comparison of what to expect from the one who could be elected to represent the Fifth District in Congress for the next term.
Hurt spent most of his time criticizing Perriello with innumerable trite statements that gave no worth or value for the reader to consider in forming an opinion of whether Hurt would make the Fifth District a good representative.
On the other hand, Perriello continues to give us information about what he is doing and what he wants to do for the district. If you have read his weekly articles, then you know what he is doing for us in Washington, D.C. You will notice that his voting record in Congress has not always followed party lines. His votes have been cast to best represent his constituents.
The Fifth District does not need a person in Washington, D.C., representing them who is a spoils man.
