Christmas parade a big success The annual Nelson County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade was held Dec. 3. We were honored to have Nelson County Parks and Recreation soccer team, "Living Word Christian Fellowship," serve as the grand marshal. We want to recognize the support and contributions of the following businesses and individuals without whom the parade would not have been possible: BB&T Bank, Tiger Fuel, Union Market First Bank, Rapunzel’s Coffee & Books, Ronnie Moyer, Bernie and Kate McGinnis, Cynthia and Joey Thacker, Jim Jones, John and Rhonda Holland, Monk Mays, John Wright, Cindy Hill, Alice Spivey, Nelson County Sheriff’s Department, Daniel Rutherford, Rutherford Law Group, Ronald Campbell and Campbell Tunes. Thanks to the vendors who continue to support this event. We also want to thank the businesses that held open houses; Rutherford Law Group, The Corner Spa, Rapunzel’s Coffee & Books and Claudia’s Florist along with our residential and business decorators. The businesses were so warm and inviting and the village of Lovingston was beautiful. Every parade unit participant, you were enjoyable and delightful as you filled the street one by one, we know how much work goes into entering the parade, thank you.
