A great Fourth in Nelson County
As a spectator at the recent Fourth of July parade, I would personally like to extend a special thanks to everyone involved in making it a very pleasant and patriotic event for Nelson County.
Sometimes in rural areas, it’s very difficult to pull off such events that would involve the entire county. However, it was apparent that Nelson County goes beyond that statement.
It was truly amazing to see the planning, efforts, hard work and sweat that went into pulling off such a great event. From children waving flags, riding bicycles and power wheels, to antique cars, church organizations, local businesses and the many political floats that battled extreme temperatures, it was truly heartwarming to see the hard work involved in pulling off such an event.
I would also like to add another thank you to Mac Bridgwater and his "Bridgwater For Sheriff" campaign for his extremely patriotic float. As there were many political advertisements, it was truly appreciated that you went beyond just advertising for your political seat. The tribute that he made to the troops touched many people’s hearts as it truly is the reason we can celebrate America. The time and effort that went into his float showed, and it was simply breath taking. Thanks for taking the time to honor our troops as it was appreciated by many.
Again, thanks to all involved in a successful and patriotic Fourth of July parade celebration.
