E. Coleman Currie
E. Coleman Currie, 84, of Lovingston, died Feb. 19 at his residence.
Born Aug. 6, 1927. Coleman descended from Hawes Coleman who was an early settler of Nelson County in the late 1700’s.
He was a Veteran of World War II and Korea and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife Anne Coleman Currie; daughters; Clara C. O’Bannon, (Terry), Pettis E. VanDerNoot, (Ken) and Margaret C. Bailey, (Doug). Grandchildren; Carrie Gumm, (Daniel), Robbie Jones, Lindy Campbell, (Chris), Stephen Bailey and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Interment will be private.
The family received friends Feb. 21 at the funeral home.

Annie Belle Falls
Annie Belle Falls, 89, formerly of Nelson County, went to be with her Lord Feb. 18 at Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born Aug. 22, 1922 a daughter of the late Franklin Benjamin Pierce Berry and Emma Powell Berry.
Annie was a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church at Nellysford and retired from Del Monte Foods in 1982.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Irvin Ferguson and her second husband, Jerry E. Falls, Jr. and her two sons, Luther Irvin Ferguson, Jr. and Archie Ray Falls.
She is survived by two sons, James E. Falls of Afton and John M Falls of Lyndhurst; one daughter, Janice M. Campbell of Staunton; four grandchildren, James E. Falls Jr., Jerry E. Falls III, Rebecca A. Gibson and Rachel M. Davis and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Caroline Robinson and Charline Rhea for Mom’s care and to the 3rd Floor Staff at Augusta Health.
There will be, upon her request, no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Rockfish Valley Baptist Church, 3395 Rockfish Valley Highway, Nellysford, conducted by the Rev. Louie V. Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

James Edward Mills ‘Jim’
James “Jim” Edward Mills, 69, of Madison Heights, died Feb. 18 at Guggenheimer in Lynchburg. Born in Lynchburg, May 21, 1942, he was a son of the late James Carson Mills and Mary Beatrice Hudson Mills. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He retired as Supervisor with Lynchburg Foundry after more than 33 years. He was also employed with the City of Lynchburg for five years in the maintenance department and with the County of Amherst at the Coolwell Convenience Center for seven-plus years. Jim was a member of Rose Union Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of Amherst Masonic Lodge and Monroe Ruritan Club, having been a past president.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Alice Jane Campbell Mills; son, Michael Douglas Mills (Pam) of Madison Heights; daughter, Lisa L. Mills Bersch of Rustburg; step-daughter, Thelma Stecker (Ricky) of Amherst and 5 grandchildren, Phillip “P.J.” (Meagan), Jason (Re), Josh, Cheyenne and Brittany.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Waverly Carson Mills.
A funeral service was held Feb. 21 at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home by the Rev. John Campbell and the Rev. John Gordon. Burial with military honors by VFW Post # 7701 followed in Jonesboro Cemetery. The family received friends Feb. 20 at the funeral home.

Christopher Jermaine Robinson
Christopher Jermaine Robinson, 34, of North Garden, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 3. He was born on March 26, 1977, in Denver, Colo., to Patricia Bowles Robinson and Leroy S. Robinson Jr.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elroy Brown.
He attended both Western Albemarle and Nelson County high schools. He was employed by Lowes Home Improvement for over 10 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Quron Robinson, and step-son, Talib Willis; his loving grandparents, John and Catherine Bowles of North Garden, and Ethelene Brown of Faber; two brothers, George Bowles and his wife, Celina, and their children, Kaitlyn and Erika, of Christiansburg, and Brian Robinson of North Garden, and his children, Tykia Scott and Kanari Robinson; two sisters, LeToya Turner of Charlottesville, and Chal-ee Robinson of Aurora, Colo.; and a host of dedicated aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held Feb. 11 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Faber, with interment following in the church cemetery. The family received friends at the church prior to the service.

Mary Jane Thompson
Mary Jane Thompson, 82, formerly of Crozet, died at her residence in Waynesboro, on Feb. 8. She was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Albemarle County, to the late Lucian F. Pugh and Eva M. Pugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Thompson; and three sons, Franklin, Gary and Randy Thompson; two sisters, Lucille Pugh and Merele Rea; and one brother, Marvin Pugh.
She is survived by five sons, Roger, Jackie, Wesley, Ricky and his wife, Linda, all of Waynesboro, and Ernest Thompson of Faber; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Thompson of Afton; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florence Carter of Afton.
She retired from Con-agra in Crozet.
A graveside service was held Feb. 10 at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, with Pastor Rader Ogden officiating.
