The Lady Govs basketball squad will have a major hole to fill as six seniors have played their last game.
Five of this group have taken the four-year journey together. Tashia Crawford, Ki Ki Sheffey, Asia Harris, Bri Stinnett and Jessica Goinesare are not only longtime teammates, but also friends. Rounding out the senior year squad is first-year Lady Gov Tiki Turner.
“This is a very special group of young ladies who have worked hard and played hard for four years,” said Debbie Whitmore, their coach from the start.
“Their record does not reflect the amount of heart and hustle and efforts thet have given to Nelson County,” Whitmore said.
